We’re so excited to announce our new season of shows. With many new performances lined up, there is a packed programme of over 20 live shows – big and small productions, dance, opera, musicals, concerts, and a Christmas pantomime. 

As well as hosting local theatre companies and musical groups, we provide a stage for professional touring companies. We’re also the venue of choice for tribute bands, attracting fans from all over the UK. 

Dan Shrimpton, our chair of the board of trustees, said: “We’re delighted with this new programme and have some big shows lined up, including Matilda Junior and the Wizard of Oz, plus concerts and musical tribute acts.  

“And we’re welcoming back the Rowntree Players, with two plays and the much-anticipated pantomime, Dick Whittington – we can’t wait! There really is something for everyone.”

Tickets go on sale on 1 August for theatre Friends and 8 August for the public. 

If you book tickets for three shows staged from 1 September to 31 January at the same time, you will automatically receive a 10% discount.

In August, we’re staging three UK premieres: The Local Authority, Scarbados, and All Above Board – an original comedy written by actor comedian Nigel Planer.
