We are looking for a number of volunteers to help with our marketing. By splitting the workload into specific areas, each of which is well defined, this makes it simple and manageable for our volunteers, and generally requires between 1 - 2 hours a week. This can be fairly flexible over the month, but would need to meet the specific delivery timescales for media postings etc.

To help write and post digital marketing content to promote the theatre to existing and new audiences. There are 3 main aspects of this:
- Event promotion
- Hirer bookings
- Volunteer recruitment
To develop and deliver marketing content that helps build individual show attendance, new hirer bookings and recruits additional volunteers as follows:-
Using data provided by hirers, develop targeted email and Facebook campaigns in order to build ticket sales. This includes writing content, uploading, updating landing pages and reporting results.
Using core messages, develop targeted email campaigns in order to build new bookings.. This includes writing content, uploading, updating landing pages and reporting results.
Using volunteer web page content develop targeted email and Facebook campaigns in order to recruit new volunteers. This includes writing content, uploading, updating landing pages and reporting results.
The main digital marketing tools currently used are:
- Email marketing
In addition, to help increase the size of our “community” by keeping Facebook updated, ideally on a daily basis, and to encourage others to comment on our posts and share them. Plans also include testing new methods of communication including texts and video.
Experience and Skills
This role would suit someone who has experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Marketing, digital marketing or social media, either through education, work or volunteering
- Social media, email marketing and other online tools in order to generate and manage content and produce results
- Is an excellent communicator and is able to write clearly, accurately and succinctly

The roles will be very time-flexible. For social media, we envisage the volunteer spending a short time each day (although not necessarily every day) updating social media and monitoring channels. For email marketing, the volunteer will probably put together 3-4 campaigns a month. As for the website, we would anticipate that content is updated once or twice a month.
