Jorvik’s new production of Patience sees the Gilbert and Sullivan favourite relaunched in the 1960s. It tells the story of rock god/poet Reggie Bunthorne and his love for the blonde bombshell rock diva Patience and rivalry with impresario Archie Grosvenor.
Set at a folk festival at the stately home of the Duke of Dunstable this is a tale of love, passion, groupies, new age travellers and security guards thrown together in an unlikely mix of songs, poetry, intrigue and downright deception.
Witness the rivalry of rock stars and managers, the adulation of the ladies and the complete incompetence of Col Calverley’s security force.
Who will win the prize?
Who will be Bunthorne’s Bride?
All will be revealed by the end of the evening..
