It’s 1962 and there’s a whole lotta shakin’ goin’ on in a backstreet beat cellar in Liverpool called the Cavern Club. This is Merseybeat, the sixties sound of Liverpool. For the next two years ‘Merseymania’ rules the world! Cavern Club’s resident Merseybeat combo, The Shakers, with their authentic ‘Maximum Merseybeat’ sound with some very special guests, recreate the Mersey Sound hits, Cavern stompers and plenty of rock ’n’ roll from The Beatles, Gerry & The Pacemakers, The Searchers, Billy J Kramer, Cilla Black and many more. It’s the beat that’s hard to beat!

Featuring songs like: She Loves You, Twist & Shout, Ferry 'Cross The Mersey, You're My World, Needles & Pins, Hippy Hippy Shake

All songs in the show were performed or recorded by Liverpool 60s artists and range from Cavern Club rockers to Hit Parade smashes! The Shakers, the beat group in the show, are the Cavern Club's resident Merseybeat combo.
