This week's show has been nominated by volunteer of the theatre, Keith, who saw this production when it was originally performed at the York Theatre Royal, with some of our other volunteers featuring in the choir.
If there was ever a time when we all need a little bit of extra hope, it's right now.
The York Theatre Royal is streaming one of their most inspirational and affirming productions of recent years for free on their YouTube Channel.
The 2017 community production with Pilot Theatre will be available to stream until Sunday 31st May, so be sure not to miss your chance.
The play was originally performed on a spectacular scale with a cast of over 150 and a choir of 80. Purple, green and white flags were raised with "Votes for Women!" being cried out to sold-out audiences.
The production was filmed by Pilot Livestreaming Team.
The production runs at 1 hour 50 minutes. Captions are also available.
We can't go out so we're not spending money on things like coffee and cakes, glass of wine or beer, and generally eating out and socialising.
Why not pop the money you’ve saved on some of these things into a jar and put it towards the Raise the Roof appeal. If we ask friends and family to do the same we could raise a reasonable amount of money for the appeal.
Even if we only put a couple of pounds a week away it would all add up. What do you think - shall we give it a go? It would be great if once our wonderful theatre can reopen we have lots of jars of money to hand over!

A sparklingly witty play based on Jane Austen's incomplete novel... who will write Emma's happy ending now?
