Guided Walks with Gary Bateson - "The York you thought you knew"

Join theatre trustee Gary Bateson, an experienced City Tour Guide, whose walking tours have been described as informative and entertaining, on a two hour guided walk to delve into our city's past while also raising money for the theatre's Raise the Roof Appeal. While York is a place full of history and interesting places, there are sure to be a few things you don’t know about or places you have never been to. It’s an old city but do you know how old? What is lying beneath your feet as you walk along our streets? Why is this street's name so strange? Just some of the topics Gary will cover while gently walking round the city centre.
