Badapple Theatre Company performs in the most unexpected of places...
We are proud to host an array of touring companies at our theatre. One of the last companies to perform on our stage just before this current lockdown was the Badapple Theatre Company. The company’s production of “The Snow Dancer”, an original show with music and dance, was a magical Christmas treat.
Badapple is based in rural North Yorkshire. The company specialises in taking original comic performances to the smallest and most unexpected of venues across the UK. With a creative team drawn from BBC Radio, TV and regional repertory theatres, you can always be sure of an entertaining night out. The company is now celebrating its 21st year of touring.
We spoke to Badapple’s artistic director, Kate Bramley about performing on the Joseph Rowntree stage for the first time. Kate told us: “It was an incredible experience for our team to be in such a beautiful theatre. And to see the smiles on everybody’s faces after the show was the best Christmas present ever!”
