Join us at the theatre, 88 years to the day since it was first opened, and help us celebrate our birthday! As with all good birthdays there will be cake and other sweet treats to enjoy along with a drink, and games to try your luck at too. 

A children’s trail will let you explore new areas of the theatre and materials from our archive will be available to view so you can learn more about us from over the last 88 years.

And as we’re York’s chocolate theatre, there will be a chocolate theme running through many of our activities and sweet treats, along with a selection of Christmas items available for sale. 

All proceeds will go to the Theatre’s fundraising appeal to help ensure we can provide entertainment in York for years to come.
