York Musical Theatre Company are bringing the timeless tale of Wizard of Oz to the Joseph Rowntree Theatre's stage in 2024 and are holding open auditions for anyone interested in joining the company. 

• Introductory Evening; 22 November (7:30pm - 9:30pm)
• Children's Audition Workshop; 25 November (2pm - 5:30pm)
• Adult Auditions; 2 December 

INTRODUCTORY EVENING | 22 NOVEMBER

Ahead of the auditions, on Wednesday 22nd November, they are holding an Introductory Evening at Poppleton Methodist Church Hall, 7:30pm - 9:30pm. No need to sign up. Just come along, meet the creative team and find out about their vision for the show, the audition process, the rehearsal schedule, and maybe even have a little sing. Open to everybody aged 16+.

CHILDREN'S AUDITION WORKSHOP | 25 NOVEMBER

Got a little munchkin who would love to be a munchkin? On Saturary 25 November (2pm - 5:30pm), there will be a Children's Auditon Workshop at Haxby Memorial Hall. The afternoon will be singing and dancing workshops for children aged 9-12 years to give a little taste of what the show is all about.

ADULT AUDITIONS | 2 DECEMBER

On Saturary 2nd December, auditions will be held for anyone 16+ who would like to take a trip down the yellow brick road, held at Poppleton Methodist Church Hall. If you are current member of the company, all you need to do is email Mick (auditions@yorkmusicaltheatrecompany.org.uk) to request an audition pack.
